The Centre is set to introduce the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha, proposing tougher punishment for paper leaks and examination fraud.The proposed legislation seeks to strengthen the provisions of the existing Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which was enacted to curb unfair means in public examinations and protect the integrity of recruitment and entrance tests.
