New research examined whether taurine, caffeine and phosphatidylserine supplementation could influence cognitive performance, psychomotor function, sprint performance, fatigue resistance and football-specific performance in professional male football players. A 14-day multi-ingredient supplementation protocol was associated with more favourable 30 m sprint, cognitive, locomotor and fatigue-related outcomes, although the findings are preliminary and do not establish the independent effects of phosphatidylserine.
