mobilezone Earns EcoVadis Silver Medal, Ranking in Top 15% Worldwide for Sustainability

mobilezone has been awarded the Silver Medal by EcoVadis for its sustainability performance, improving from last year's Bronze Medal. The assessment, conducted at Group level, covers all units within the mobilezone Group and places the company among the top 15% of companies worldwide of its size evaluated by EcoVadis. The recognition underscores mobilezone's continuous advancement in sustainability management and its commitment to responsible business practices.

The improved rating reflects systematic efforts to expand sustainability structures and processes across the Group. Key initiatives include further developing sustainability reporting in line with European ESRS sustainability reporting standards, integrating newly acquired group companies into the ESG management framework, and achieving successful certification of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001. These measures demonstrate mobilezone's proactive approach to embedding sustainability into its operations.

'The Silver Medal is both a recognition of our achievements and an incentive to continue improving,' said Bernhard Machler, CFO of mobilezone. 'We remain committed to pursuing our chosen path and will continue to integrate sustainability into the development of our business in a targeted and meaningful way.' Machler's comments highlight the company's dedication to ongoing improvement and strategic integration of sustainability.

EcoVadis, active since 2007, is one of the world's leading providers of sustainability ratings, certifying companies in ecology, social issues, and sustainability. It has certified around 150,000 companies in more than 185 countries based on internationally established standards. mobilezone's Silver Medal thus signifies robust performance against global benchmarks.

For stakeholders, this award enhances mobilezone's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen, potentially attracting environmentally conscious investors and customers. It also aligns with the company's 'Second Life' business focused on repairs and refurbished devices, reinforcing its commitment to circular economy principles. The recognition may provide a competitive edge in the telecommunications market, where sustainability increasingly influences consumer and partner decisions.
