The dark web and threat actors have been targeting the healthcare industry for years, but the threats are improving in accuracy, legitimacy and damage as artificial intelligence (AI) continues to evolve. Given these advances, the staffed IT department at a hospital may lack the training and 24/7 coverage needed to maintain a strong security operations center, or SOC.
