Tenerife is a versatile island with beautiful nature, lively party locations, state-of-the-art telescopes, and amazing beaches. Most tourists stay on land or close to it, some go off shore to watch whales or dolphins, but unbeknownst to most some also go under the sea in a submarine.

Submarine safari is a local company running one of the few submarines open to the public. These subs started production in the 90s with the factory being in Finland, with the first being launched in Lanzarote. Several years later, one was brought to Tenerife and operations began in 2007.

The sub can hold over 40 people and dive up to 100 meters deep, although they never go deeper than 30 with civilians on board.

A tour on board goes past several shipwrecks, and lively rock wall filled with different maritine life. There are also several manta rays that stay close to the ship as they enjoy playing with the bubbles of the divers and getting belly rubs.
