BIG's Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art officially opens to the public

The Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art has opened to the public on the eastern edge of Jinji Lake in Suzhou, China. Designed by BIG | Bjarke Ingels Group, the approximately 59,500-square-meter (640,000-square-foot) museum includes roughly 11,300 square meters (122,000 square feet) of exhibition space.

The August 30 opening brings the long-developing project into full public use following its topping out in 2024 and the release of interior construction photographs last year. Located in Suzhou Industrial Park beside the Suzhou's Eye Ferris wheel, the museum forms part of a growing cultural district along the Jinji Lake waterfront.
