Following our previous visit to jones | haydu, we are keeping our Meet Your Next Employer series in San Francisco this week to explore the work of HED.

The firm, which employs over 400 people, has amassed a portfolio spanning healthcare, education, housing, science and technology, workplaces, community schemes, and government projects. In 2024, we covered the firm’s merger with Denver-based Larson Incitti Architects. In the same year, several of HED’s projects were included in the Lerch Bates People's Choice Awards.

Over on Archinect Jobs, the practice is currently hiring for several education design roles to join their San Francisco team. For candidates interested in applying for a position or anybody interested in learning more about the studio’s output, we have rounded up four education projects by HED that exemplify the firm’s ethos.
