Here are the 2026 AIA Young Architects and Associates Award winners

The American Institute of Architects unveiled the 2026 winners of the annual Young Architects Award this morning. The honor is given to early-career architects in recognition of their leadership and significant contributions to the profession.

This year's twelve recipients are:

• Melanie B. Y. Islam | MASON
• Lyndley E. Kent | Neumann Monson Architects
• Samantha R. Markham | Stantec
• Ceara M. O'Leary | Detroit Collaborative Design Center
• Carrie L. Parker | CannonDesign
• Robert (Bob) Perry | Gensler
• Li Ren | Perkins Eastman
• Anna Squier | MA Architecture
• Shawn M. Swisher | Jones Studio

They join the four winners of the Associates Award, announced last week: Alyanna Subayno, Cole Von Feldt of Stantec, Isabel Cristina Ferreira de Souza of PMBA Architects, and Ersa Llakmani of Harley Ellis Devereaux.
