Take a look at new photos of Mecanoo's Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi

Mecanoo has offered a further look inside their recently completed Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi. As we reported late last year, the 350,000-square-foot museum forms part of the city’s expanding network of international cultural destinations. In 2024, the firm offered Archinect an insight into the process imagery created for the scheme as part of our series on architectural visualization.

New photographs include a further look at the museum’s interior, whose exhibits span a 13.8-billion-year journey through time. As well as tracing the history of the universe, Earth, and life, the exhibits also address contemporary questions around sustainability and the planet’s future. In addition to permanent galleries, the building includes temporary exhibition spaces, theaters, and facilities to support public programming and special events.
