USC Architecture hosts two October symposia exploring expanded and collective models of practice

The USC School of Architecture will host two symposia in Los Angeles this October examining how architectural practice is evolving beyond conventional models of the studio, from binational networks of research and education to new forms of collective practice.
First up, Expanded Borders | Fronteras Expandidas on October 16 brings together practitioners from the Tijuana-Los Angeles corridor to consider how architects are extending their work across both geographic and disciplinary boundaries. Presented in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico, the symposium focuses on a generation of architects who have developed research laboratories, curatorial spaces, schools, and binational programs alongside their design practices.
